3. Not a government or DMV site

We are not a Department of Motor Vehicles, not a government agency, and not law enforcement. We do not provide private investigator services, current owner identity/contact data, or confidential DMV owner records through this Site.

4. Affiliate relationships

Some links lead to third-party vehicle history or related services. We may receive a commission if you purchase a report or product. Third-party sites have their own terms, pricing, and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or accuracy of records.

5. No trademark misuse

References to industry names or report types are for descriptive purposes only. VIN Check Guide is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Carfax®, AutoCheck®, or any similar trademark owner unless expressly stated. We do not claim to offer “official” branded products we do not own.

6. VIN lookup tool

When you enter a VIN, you represent that you are using it for lawful purposes (for example, researching a vehicle you are considering buying or already own). You must not use the Site to harass individuals, commit fraud, or attempt to obtain private personal information about vehicle owners beyond what a standard commercial vehicle history product lawfully provides.

7. Accuracy disclaimer

Vehicle history databases are incomplete by nature. We do not guarantee that any report or article identifies every accident, title event, lien, or recall. Individual results vary. Do not rely solely on any single report when making a purchase decision.

8. Geographic focus

Educational content and the linked offer are oriented to United States traffic and vehicles. Availability of records outside the U.S. may be limited or unavailable.

9. Intellectual property

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Costa Launch LLC and its members, officers, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from vehicle purchases, reliance on third-party reports, or Site downtime. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us directly for Site access in the prior 12 months (typically $0 for free educational use) or (b) USD $50.
