2. What we collect on this site

On the static landing pages themselves, we aim to collect as little as possible:

  • VIN you enter for lookup: When you submit the VIN form, the VIN is passed as a query parameter (aff_sub1) to a third-party offer tracking URL so the vehicle history provider can pre-fill the search. We do not ask for your name, address, phone, Social Security number, driver’s license, or owner contact details on this form.
  • Server / hosting logs: Our host (for example Cloudflare Pages or similar) may automatically log IP address, browser type, referring URL, and timestamps for security and reliability.
  • Analytics (if enabled later): We may add privacy-respecting analytics (such as Google Analytics 4). If we do, this policy will be updated to describe cookies and identifiers used.
  • Email you send us: If you email [email protected], we receive whatever you include in that message.

3. What we do not collect here

  • We do not collect Social Security numbers or government ID numbers on this site.
  • We do not sell access to private DMV owner databases or current owner PII through this site.
  • We do not require an account to read our educational content.

4. Third-party services

When you continue to a vehicle history provider via our affiliate tracking link, that provider’s own privacy policy and terms apply to any data you submit on their site (payment details, email for report delivery, etc.). We encourage you to read those policies before purchasing.

6. Sharing

We do not sell personal information as a product. VIN values submitted through the lookup are sent to the affiliate/offer network for the purpose of fulfilling the vehicle history request. We may share limited information with service providers who host or secure this site, or if required by law.
